Our first night in the new house was a bit like camping. We started early this morning on the “makeover”. G’s mom and her partner are staying the week with us and helping fix up the house. Today G and K spent the day in the yard hacking down the trees and yanking them out. There is a huge tree and ivy that overgrew the shed in back, and all of is starting to come out. Inside the hallway, N and I worked on the peeling wallpaper. Scraping the wall by hand was pretty excruciating, but we managed to get a large section done within the day. I have classes during the day tomorrow, but in the evening its back to work! 🙂
