Day 5

This week has passed very slowly, but a lot of progress has been made. Our biggest projects at the moment are the shed and the interior decorating. I spent most of the day painting the downstairs, and it will continue until I finish. G’s mom N made painting more manageable by taping every nook and cranny downstairs 😛 I think within two weeks I can finish most of it, hopefully! It’s amazing how quickly the house is changing with our care. The house has a different character inside, and less awkward  appearance.

The garden is transforming every single day alongside the shed. G and the guys have been out in the garden, with the benefit of warm sunny weather. Our friend Vincent came over to assist us today. In between moving boxes and shopping for doors, he managed to take out the front wall of our degenerated shed. The entryway of the shed collapsed when the doorway was removed, taking the brick along with it. The walls will be closed up on the front with wood and a set of doors wide enough for a motorcycle. Fixing our jungle yard become more tangible every day. Our team has now expanded to include my father-in-law, who just returned from China. I can hardly imagine where we would be without all these amazing people helping us 🙂

Even this strange red color on the bar/kitchen island doesn't look scary with grey. It's still getting painted anyway.
